If you discovered that you were of royal blood, would it affect how you think and reason?

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. John 1:4

Here are a few outlier quotes from Jesus that don't get much press, yet define the very mindset God expects of us who believe:

"Whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and greater things than these will he do because I am going to My Father." John 14:12

"Remain in Me and I in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me." John 14:4

"I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in Him will bear much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing." John 14:5

And John would later write:

"the one who says that he remains in Him ought, himself also, to walk just as He walked." 1 John 2:6

Central to the Life Jesus lived was the deep-unto-deep KNOWING that He was the Son of God. Though He laid aside His divinity to be born into humanity and live in sinless oneness with the Father by the same faith He calls us to, He KNEW that He was the Messiah, the begotten Son of God to such a degree that it affected every thought, every word, and every action.

Having exemplified both what relationship with the Father looks like AND how it works, He then gave us His very SPIRIT THROUGH WHOM we are Born Again and grafted INTO Himself so that he can live in us to bear the fruit of His likeness.

Jesus was so resigned to Oneness in heart and mind with the Father that He proclaimed, "I only do what I see the Father doing," and "I only say what I hear the Father saying."

he calls us to the same holy union with Himself – which presents us with an immediate problem: Do we agree with what He says is true about us as ones born OF the Spirit? Do we actually know who we are in Him, to the same degree Jesus knew who He was IN the Father?

The WAR against God and all He loves IS RAGING, and, as it has been from the beginning, the battle is fought within our minds. Just as what Jesus thought mattered, so what we think matters.

If we are in Christ, we are to walk as Jesus walked. He said it; John said it; all who truly loved and followed Him lived it.

As such, God instructs us to

be transformed by the renewing of our mind, that we may prove His good, perfect, and acceptable will. Rom 12:2v"
